I
Open robots belong to whoever builds them.
A robot is a set of files: the body, the parts, the firmware, the way it learns to stand. Publish the files and anyone with a printer, a soldering iron and a few weekends has a claim on it.
SCROLLII
No robot dies again.
Companies close. Repositories stay. When a maker walks away, the package keeps the robot buildable and the map keeps it visible, until someone picks it up. Right now 4 robots have no maker behind them.
III
Stood up by people who had never built one.
That is the only number counted here. Not units shipped, not money raised. One person, a first robot, standing on its own. Every bright point below is a robot someone stood up, checked by a person.
